Tonight I dreamt I was working at nanas house with a bunch of my old co workers but nana lived somewhere else in my dream and we were just doing random things around the house and then it was closing time and we are all about to go home for the day when a baby starts appearing at the end of the kitchen trying to get us to go into the garage area and I try my best to convince everyone that it’s a demon and going back there is a death sentence I even try to call nana so she can hold an exorcism and when I call nana for some reason mom picks up and I tell her I need nana to come exorcise a demon and she says she will tell nana but then my old manager while we are waiting sends her ex in to investigate and I tell her that was a bad idea but it was to late the co worker was back he was acting like everything was fine and that we should all relax and of course everyone was relieved but I felt like something was off so I decided to test him I said christo and he flinched and gave me a death stare that’s when I told everyone he’s possessed and I said watch when I say this he’s going to flinch christo and sure enough he flinched again and gave me the death stare everyone tried running but then he started chanting and everyone except me was stuck and we all had a blueish white light coming out of us into his mouth I didn’t know what to do I don’t know how to exorcise a demon so I ran away I got into my car right before it took hold over me and I drove away that’s when I woke up
Dreams often serve as a reflection of our subconscious mind, addressing our fears, desires, and experiences. Your dream features several recurring themes: the presence of family, past work experiences, feelings of danger, the supernatural, and a distinct sense of urgency. Here’s a detailed interpretation of the various elements in your dream:
Nana often symbolizes warmth, love, and guidance in your life. However, the fact that she lives elsewhere in the dream could indicate a feeling of disconnect from familial support or wisdom at this time. Working at her house with old co-workers suggests nostalgia or a return to past memories or experiences. This environment could represent a safe space that contrasts sharply with the ensuing danger in your dream.
Your former colleagues appear to signify shared experiences and familiarity. They might represent aspects of your identity that are tied to your past. The context of working implies that you are currently in a phase of productivity, but also of revisiting old dynamics, perhaps indicating unresolved tensions or relationships from your previous workplace.
In dreams, babies can symbolize innocence, vulnerability, or a new beginning. However, the baby in your dream transitions into a sinister figure attempting to lure everyone into a garage, a place typically associated with storage and being out of sight. This could symbolize hidden fears or aspects of yourself that you deem dangerous that you are trying to protect both yourself and your colleagues from. You perceive the baby as a demon, indicating a fear of something that appears innocent but could be harmful—perhaps a situation you perceive in your waking life.
Calling Nana for an exorcism highlights your desire for guidance, wisdom, or help in confronting threatening situations. However, the fact that your mother answers represents a potential barrier. It indicates that you may feel unsupported in your quest for protection against these threats, either from authority figures or from expectations in your family dynamic.
The decision by your old manager to send in her ex might symbolize fears around trust and decision-making—allowing someone untrustworthy or a past influence back into the fold. Your warning that this is a “bad idea” reflects feelings of caution or protectiveness regarding your safety and that of others, suggesting a concern over making poor decisions based on past acquaintances.
The essence of possession represents a loss of autonomy or control, which is a significant concern in your life. Your focus on chanting and your reaction to the coworker’s reaction when you say “Christo” indicates a deep-rooted concern regarding the influence of negative energies or situations around you. You’re actively trying to identify that which has “possessed” your coworkers, yet you feel powerless to stop it. This reflects feelings of anxiety about influences in your life that may be draining your energy or leading you astray.
Your decision to flee in the end rather than confront the demon signifies an instinctual response to danger. This suggests anxiety about dealing with the pressures and threats facing you, leading to feelings of helplessness. However, driving away also indicates a desire for freedom, a need to remove yourself from toxic situations or people, even if it feels overwhelming.
Your dream encapsulates a sense of returning to the past, grappling with fears of danger from familiar environments, and navigating through feelings of powerlessness. You might be dealing with current pressures or threats in your life that feel analogous to this dream scenario. It’s possible that you might wish to explore these fears in your waking life to seek resolution, regain control, and restore feelings of safety and autonomy in your relationships and work environments. Reflect on how these fears may echo real-life situations you're currently facing and consider drafting a plan for addressing them constructively.
